The most tremendous and religious conceptual based poem “Abou Ben Adhem” was written by James Henry Leigh Hunt. He was an English critic, essayist, poet and writer. In 1808 after leaving the war office of British army he had joined his brother’s newspaper called “The Examiner”. In 1816 he made a mark in English literature with the publication of Story of Rimini.

The poem “Abou Ben Adhem” contains the religious concept besides it also has some ethical and moral values. The poet by explaining the incident of Abou Ben Adhem was trying to make people believe that the man cannot have love of God unless he does not understand the sufferings of His fellow beings because of all the loves practiced by the human beings, the love of fellow beings supersedes. He convinced the reader that in the eyes of God nothing is more remarkable and praiseworthy work than to service the humanity for his well being.
