he poem “Incident of the French Camp” was composed by one of the foremost Victorian Poets, Robert Browning. He was an English poet and playwright who got the remarkable position by his mastery of dramatic verse, especially dramatic monologues. He was badly wounded that her chest was shot into two and he had not much strength to stand erect so that he by the help of horse’ mane he stood erectly. In spite of all his wounds he was much filled with the spirit of patriotism and heroism and he was much excited to tell about the news of victory by himself to his emperor very proudly.

When the wounded soldier of Napoleon’ army came out to give very proudly the news about the battle’s victory that Ratisbon had been conquered which was the heartiest desire of Napoleon. Knowing this, the emperor’s joy had touched the sky but instantly his joy vanished and his eyes were softened because he had seen the soldier carefully that he was severely wounded.

He saw a young a soldier who was coming towards him and when he came and told him the news of victory so Napolean became happy but suddenly he realized that the boy who gave him about the victory, was wounded so he had forgotten his victory and told him about his wounds but the young soldier, who never wanted to see himself wounded, told his chief with smile that he was not wounded but he was killed and by saying that he just fell down there and died.

The sense of duty of the young soldier described in the poem ‘Incident of the French Camp’ was the most striking, amazed, admirable and beyond comparison. He was severely wounded that he had slight chance to survive but his passion gave him the courage to survive till he would not give the new of victory with high spirits to his chief, Napoleon, without even caring about his bounds.

Napoleon got very excited when he heard about the victory of the battle of Ratisbon by his young soldier because a few moments before he was much worried and vigilant about the battle and waiting for the signal of his army Lannes about the battle’s progress for that reason he was so much depressing but after the news by the young soldier about the victory of his army gave him a new spirit and proud and his eyes were flashed because his plan again soared up like fire.

The young soldier showed his love for his country and his emperor by informing him about the progress of the Battle of Ratisbon in spite of that he was severely wounded that his chest was split into two and he had less chance to survive but he gathered his spirit and tried to give himself in high-spirit the news of victory that they had conquered Ratisbon and the army flag had been perched because that was the heartiest desire of his emperor to conquer that city. His love for his country and respect of his emperor ambition was worth-watching.

The philosophy which has been explained in the poem ‘Incident of the French Camp’ is about the patriotism and heroism and the sense of the fulfillment of the duty of a soldier. The soldier no matter whatever the rank has been trained to make the heartiest desire to complete and win the mission. This poem inculcates the spirit and enthusiasm of a very dutiful and patriotic soldier. It teaches that if we are at our duty so we have to carry out and fulfill our duty with such a high-spirit and courage whatever the situation and obstacles had hindered us.
